Dandy the Dragon's Smile

Dandy was a little dragon who loved sweets. He wanted to know why his mouth sometimes felt yucky, even after tasting the yummiest candy. His friend Emi told him, "Dandy, your mom says to brush your teeth!" Dandy learned that tiny bacteria love sugary bits left on teeth. They make sticky plaque that can make little holes called cavities. Brushing sweeps away the food and plaque, keeping teeth strong! One day, Dandy found a cherry tree, full of shiny fruits. He wondered, "Should I pick the red ones or the very dark ones?" He remembered his mom’s advice from cherry picking: "Pick the bright red cherries! Those are the sweet ones, ready to eat." Dandy munched on the juicy red cherries, his teeth feeling clean and strong, ready for more adventures. He snuggled down, knowing his smile was bright and healthy.
