How does my child use AskBuni?
Your child speaks a question into your phone. AskBuni's AI writes an age-appropriate answer that you read on screen first, then play aloud with one tap. Your child listens — they never read or touch the screen. After the answer, the Buni mascot asks your child a fun follow-up question to keep the conversation going.
Is my child's data shared with anyone?
No third-party tracking, no analytics SDKs, no ad networks. Your child's questions and answers are processed by Google (for AI), AWS (for the spoken voice), and Apple (for speech recognition). We've collected Data Processing Agreements from each. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
How do I cancel or restore my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by AskBuni. To cancel: open the Settings app on your iPhone → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → AskBuni → Cancel. To restore on a new device or after reinstalling: open the AskBuni app → Settings → Restore Purchases. (You can also restore from inside the paywall.)
How do I delete my account and data?
Open the AskBuni app → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently wipes your questions, answers, stories, story audio, share cards, and account record from our servers. The deletion is immediate and not reversible. Your Apple subscription continues separately — cancel it in iPhone Settings if you no longer want to be billed.
What happens when my child asks about a sensitive topic?
AskBuni doesn't try to answer questions about sex, violence, drugs, scary news, or other topics a parent should lead. Instead, the answer says "That's a great question to ask your grown-up!" — and in the Parents area, you'll find an "Tips for discussing this with your child" link with age-appropriate guidance you can read before talking to them. Five layers of safety run before every answer reaches your child.
Is AskBuni COPPA-compliant?
Yes. AskBuni is designed so the parent is the operator — you create the account, you review every answer, and our consent flow happens before sign-in. We collect verifiable parental consent and store an immutable record of which privacy policy version you agreed to. Read the details in our Privacy Policy.
Are there limits on how many questions we can ask?
The free tier includes 20 lifetime questions to try the app, plus any bonus questions from promo codes. AskBuni Premium ($4.99/month or $49.99/year) lifts that to 100 questions per day and 1,000 per calendar month — those caps exist to keep our LLM costs predictable and your family's conversation focused, not all-day.
